In Congo DRC, thousands of women die of cancer, without ever knowing what disease they have and without ever having the chance to get treatment.

Mission: Our commitment to the women of the Democratic Republic of Congo is to provide medical assistance, training and outreach programs to empower themselves socially and economically.

Vision: The Shitowa foundation envisions a peaceful environment for all women of Congo. A secure place where they can explore all possibilities to be fully human, living in personal safety and with food security for themselves and their children. With this, they can then provide a nurturing environment that breathes hope for future generations.

Health
The Shitowa Foundation will work with hand-in-hand with established local medical facilities by providing medical supplies and medicines. Donations received from pharmaceutical companies as well as private donations will go directly to women infected with HIV/AIDS , Malaria, Tuberculosis and other life limiting diseases. Our vision also includes a new medical facility to be built by Shitowa Foundation.

Opportunity
The Shitowa foundation is working with financial institutions to provide micro-loans and training programs which enable women to become economically sufficient and give them the capacity to change their way of thinking. When women are healthy and feel secure in their environment, they can open their eyes to the opportunities that surround them. Women will flourish and become vital instruments to the reconstruction of Congo DRC.

Shitowa seeks to work with public and private partnerships to mobilize resources for accomplishing peace in the region, but not through political struggle.
